Mr Harold Woo
Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore) (IRPAS)
Mr Woo is ex-Senior Advisor for Investor & Partner Relations in CapitaLand Limited, one of the largest property companies in Asia. He joined CapitaLand in 2003 and relinquished his position as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations in June 2015.
Prior to CapitaLand, he was Chief Executive Officer of a Singapore based company, specialising in Internet-based financial services and in mobile commerce consulting and enabling services. He has more than 19 years of stockbroking experience in institutional sales, securities trading and investment research. From 1990 – 1999, he was with Vickers Ballas & Co Pte Ltd, progressing from Director of Institutional Sales to Global Head of Institutional Sales. Prior to 1990, he was Associate Director at James Capel Far East Limited, an international stockbroker. From 1981 to 1985, he was research manager at Ong & Co Pte Ltd.
Mr Woo garnered the Best IRO award in IR Magazine – South East Asia Awards in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011. In 2012, he was named as one of 25 Best IROs of last 25 years by IR Magazine. In December 2015, Mr Woo was bestowed a Lifetime Achievement award by IR Magazine.
He is also the Honorary Secretary of the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS). Mr Woo received his Master of Science in Management Science from Imperial College, University of London.
Mr Chng Lay Chew
Chief Financial Officer, Singapore Exchange
Mr Chng Lay Chew joined SGX as Chief Financial Officer on 29 December 2011.
Mr Chng has a 32-year track record in accounting and financial management, including leadership positions in leading local and international banks. In his previous role, he was responsible for the finance functions of DBS Group’s operations in all countries outside Singapore. He was also previously CFO of the bank’s Greater China business, supporting the integration and growth of the Hong Kong operations and the expansion into China and Taiwan. His earlier roles include senior finance positions in JP Morgan’s Singapore, Tokyo and New York offices.
Mr Chng is designated a Certified Public Accountant by both the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from New Zealand’s Victoria University.
Ms Jeannie Ong
Chief Strategic Partnership Officer, StarHub
Jeannie was appointed as Chief Strategic Partnership Officer (CSPO) on 8 July 2015. As CSPO, Jeannie leads StarHub’s efforts in establishing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with government agencies, content partners, key strategic partners and other complementary companies. She is also responsible for building StarHub’s corporate reputation in the areas of Corporate Communications, Investor Relations (IR) and Corporate Sustainability.
Prior to her current role, Jeannie was Chief Marketing Officer. She joined StarHub in 2001 as its Head of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, and helped bring the company public in 2004. Jeannie and her teams have won multiple awards, including Brand of the Year at the prestigious Hall of Fame Awards 2014; The Green Award at the Asia Communications Awards (2015 and 2014), in recognition of StarHub’s significant progress in environmental policies and programmes.
In IR, Jeannie was recognised as the Best IR Officer in Singapore by IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia thrice consecutively in 2014, 2013 and 2012. She and her team made it to the IR Global Top 50 list in 2014. They also clinched the Best IR award (Gold) at the Singapore Corporate Awards twice (2013 and 2010).
Jeannie has over 20 years of experience in corporate, financial, marketing and community communications across different industries. She first commenced her communications career with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore in 1992. She also held senior IR and regional corporate and marketing communications positions at IPACS and Singapore Computer Systems.
Jeannie holds an honours degree from the University of London, where she majored in Economics and Marketing.
Mr Jonathan Kuah
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications, YTL Starhill Global REIT Management
Mr Kuah is responsible for strategic communication with Unitholders, potential investors, analysts and media. He has about 20 years of experience in the financial industry, including six years in the real estate industry. Prior to joining the Manager, he spent five years with CapitaLand Limited as VP of Investor Relations.
Mr Kuah has also held corporate banking positions at HSBC and Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank as well as investment analyst positions at various brokerages. Mr Kuah is currently a Management Committee member at Chinese Swimming Club and Chairman of its F&B Committee.
Mr Kuah holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from California State University, Long Beach, USA.
Mr Basskaran Nair
Adjunct Associate Professor, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS
Mr Basskaran Nair, an Adjunct Associate Professor at the LKY School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, was previously the Senior Vice President, Group Corporate Marketing and Communications at CapitaLand Limited. Before joining CapitaLand, he was an Equity Partner and CEO of an international communications firm. Prior to running his own company, he was for eight years Head of Group Communications at DBS Bank.
Basskaran is currently a Board member of Certis CISCO Security, a Temasek-linked company and of the Media Development Authority (MDA). In November 2010, Basskaran was conferred the Public Service Medal 2010 (PBM). The Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS) nominated him Fellow of IPRS, “PR Professional of the Year 2004” and in 2008, he was awarded by IPRS the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
He has authored books and the latest is “From Main Street to Cyber Street – Changes in the Practice of Communication” focusing on the role of New Media in public communications.
Mr Meng Fanqiu
Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director, China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation
Mr Meng joined China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation (“CAO”) as Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director in 2008 and played a critical and strategic role in reshaping the company’s portfolio and businesses post CAO’s restructuring which was completed in 2008. Under his stewardship, CAO grew to become a Forbes Global 2000 company for 3 consecutive years since 2012, and is ranked in the Fortune 2015 China 500 list which places CAO amongst the world’s most valuable companies. CAO has also garnered several corporate awards and accolades under Mr Meng’s leadership, including Best Investor Relations at the Singapore Corporate Awards in 2014 and 2015 as well as Most Transparent Company award (Oil & Gas category) from the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) for five consecutive years since 2010.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Meng was the Division Director of the Planning and Development Division of China National Aviation Fuel Group Corporation (“CNAF”) where he held responsibilities in strategic planning, investment, company reform and legal policy issues. Mr Meng was an official of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (“CAAC”) from 1991 to 2003 where he had extensive experience in law and enterprise reform. He was directly involved in the drafting and enacting of the People’ Republic of China Civil Aviation Law – the first law on civil aviation in the People’s Republic of China(“PRC”). He worked on the reform of the civil aviation management structure, and participated in the drafting of corporate reform plans for Air China Group, China Eastern Airlines Group, China Southern Airlines Group and logistic services and was involved in the drafting of corporate reform plans for several Chinese airports. Mr Meng was awarded the honorary title of “Elite Civil Servant” by CAAC.
Mr Meng holds a Bachelor of Law (International Economic Law) from China University of Political Science and Law and Master of Business Law from Renmin University of China. He also holds an APAC Executive Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and is a qualified legal attorney and general legal counsel in the PRC.
SVP, Head of Services, Equities & Fixed Income, Singapore Exchange
Mita Natarajan is SVP, Head of Services, Equities & Fixed Income, at the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) and responsible for the management of post-listings businesses offered to all SGX’s listed companies. During her time at SGX, she has also managed the organization’s strategy, business development and M&A portfolios.
Prior to joining SGX, Ms Natarajan was part of the founding management team at a technology start-up in Silicon Valley, California. Her career also includes sales and marketing roles with global corporations in Asia and the U.S and functional responsibilities for the development and launch of new products and services.
Ms. Natarajan holds a Master’s Degree from Harvard University, USA.
